Ever wonder if angels truly exist?
I recently have been graced by an angel in my life. However I need to let you in on a few things first. My husband is recently disabled having been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. He can no longer work and to make a long story short, we have been faced with financial difficulties unlike any we have ever experienced before.
Like many chatty people, I frequent a few social sites from time-to-time finding solace in the few friends that I have acquired. As you know, Easter is around the corner and for my family, it marks the 2nd anniversary of my father-in-laws passing to join the Lord.
Anyway, I had posted how I was unable to participate in an Easter gift exchange with some of my friends due to our financial situation. Upon reading this, a nameless individual stepped forward with a very kind heart and offered to send me a little something just because. We messaged back and forth and this person found out that I was trying to get into jewelry making some more but did not have all the tools of the craft that I needed. Going out of their way, this individual purchased these items for me and had them shipped to my home. I am beside myself with joy and love for this person with whom I have never even met face-to-face.
Even a local radio station has been trying to change the way people interact with each other. They have been urging people to consider paying for the bill of the person in the car behind them when they are in the drive-through. What a neat idea.
But what do these things say about today's society? That sometimes even in this tough economy with crooks and evil surrounding us everywhere, there exists the Lord's angels to hold us, love us and protect us even when we struggle to do for ourselves. It can take just one kind word to a stranger, a meal for a homeless child or a small gift for someone we barely know, to show others that all is not lost and that genuine people do still exist.
So I want to humbly say "thank you" to my Easter Angel for reminding me that God is everywhere and to never give up hope. May God bless you!
